Area residents will be able to enjoy an evening music, food and art Friday night as Main Street Russellville hosts the first art walk of the 2010 season.
The Downtown Art Walk runs from 5-8 p.m. in downtown, and throughout the event, attendees will be able to stroll the sidewalks of the Downtown Historic District while enjoying the artistic talents of area artists and musicians.
In addition to enjoying the art and music, numerous downtown businesses will offer expanded shopping hours.
Those attending the Downtown Art Walk are encouraged to stop by the Train Depot to receive a program of area businesses and artists who are participating in the art walk.
Following the art walk, Main Street Russellville will present a Hot Summer Nights concert featuring Tech alumnus Cody Belew. Cody Belew and The Locals will take the stage at 8 p.m. in Depot Park for a free concert.
Belew currently resides in Little Rock and recently released a record. Organizers say they are excited to have a Belew back in the River Valley for the concert, and they hope area residents will attend.
Both events are free and open to the public. To find out more about either event, contact Main Street Russellville at 479-967-1437.
