The Bridgestone Americas Trust Fund has made a $1,000 donation to the Arkansas Tech University Foundation in support of the Department of Art.
Among those in attendance for the check presentation were (photographed, from left): Debra Fithen, director of corporate and foundation relations at Arkansas Tech; Karla Stanton, trust fund administrator for Bridgestone Americas; and Dr. Dawn Ward, head of the Arkansas Tech Department of Art and professor of art.
The funds will be used for prizes in the ninth annual Juried Student Competitive Exhibition at Arkansas Tech. The exhibit featuring artwork submitted by Arkansas Tech students is available for viewing weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Norman Hall Art Gallery, which is located at 203 West Q Street in Russellville.
There will be an awards reception for the exhibit at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Norman Hall Art Gallery. Admission to the reception will be free and open to the public.
The exhibit will remain on display through Friday, Dec. 4.
