Two Arkansas Tech University students are in Hot Springs to learn more about their chosen career field.
Senior Shay Arnold and junior Myranda Jackson are majoring in rehabilitation science at Arkansas Tech, and they are attending the 2016 Arkansas Rehabilitation Association Conference.
During the conference, the students have the opportunity to attend sessions, network with professionals and gain additional insight on the industry.
In addition, the students are volunteering throughout the conference to assist organizers.
Arkansas Tech was the first university in the state to offer an undergraduate rehabilitation program. The Arkansas Tech program is the only accredited program in Arkansas, and it was one of the first eight in the nation to gain accreditation.
