Arkansas Tech Spring Commencement Set for May 8-9

    Arkansas Tech University will confer approximately 1,970 degrees and credentials upon graduates during spring 2026 commencement ceremonies May 8-9 at John E. Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

    The weekend will begin with a 6:30 p.m. ceremony on Friday, May 8. It will honor graduates from the ATU College of Education and Health.

    There will be two ceremonies on Saturday, May 9.

    The ATU College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and ATU-Ozark Campus will see their graduates walk at 9:30 a.m.

    Graduates from the ATU College of Arts and Humanities and the ATU College of Business and Economic Development will participate in a 2 p.m. ceremony.

    The Friday evening ceremony will include the induction of Dr. Bill Hardgrave of Memphis, Tenn., and Charles “Chuck” Gordon of Russellville into the ATU Hall of Distinction.

    Arkansas Tech will recognize two of its most outstanding seniors — Alfred J. Crabaugh Award winner Carson Smith of Russellville and Jill Lestage Brown Service Leadership Award winner Hannah Melton of Clarksville — during spring 2026 commencement. Allie Stoll of Benton, winner of the 2026 Margaret Young Award, will be recognized when she graduates from ATU in December.

    Winners of the 2026 ATU Faculty Awards of Excellence for the Russellville campus will also be among those recognized during spring commencement ceremonies, as will the recipient of the 2026 Jim Ed McGee Graduate Honors Award and the winners of three staff awards for the Russellville campus.

    ATU-Ozark Campus will recognize the 2026 winners of the Bob Adams Outstanding Student Award, the ATU-Ozark Spirit Award, the ATU-Ozark Faculty Awards of Excellence in teaching and service, the ATU-Ozark Staff Excellence Award and the ATU-Ozark Service Award during the ceremony on Saturday morning.
