Members of the Arkansas Tech University Spirit Squads have begun preparations for the fall.
Both the Arkansas Tech Cheerleaders (photographed left) and the Arkansas Tech Golden Girls (photographed bottom left) arrived on campus Sunday to begin summer practices.
The two spirit groups will spend several hours each day 
over the coming weeks learning cheers, chants and dances prior to the fall semester beginning.
The Arkansas Tech spirit squads perform at home football games, basketball games, pep rallies and other events throughout the year.
There is still an opportunity to join the Arkansas Tech cheerleaders. The Tech cheerleaders will host an open gym tryout on Wednesday. Read more about that.
