Arkansas Tech University received its 5,000th like on Facebook last week.
Kay Nolen of Dover was the lucky winner of a $50 gift card to the Arkansas Tech bookstore, and she shared her winnings with her granddaughter, Erica Whorton, also of Dover.
Whorton, a freshman hospitality administration major, just moved in her residence hall last weekend, and her grandmother thought it would be a perfect time to use $50 in Wonderbucks.
Nolen’s family is rich in Arkansas Tech tradition. Her three sons attended college at Arkansas Tech and now her granddaughter is beginning her college career this fall.
