Arkansas Tech Gives Support to United Way

Arkansas Tech University launched its 2016 United Way campaign on Thursday, Nov. 17, with a goal of raising $10,000 for local health and human service programs.

The Arkansas Tech campaign runs through Dec. 31, 2016. The university campaign goal represents approximately 1.6 percent of the River Valley United Way overall campaign goal of $600,000.

Brandon Wright, director of Norman Career Services, is the chair of Arkansas Tech’s 2016 United Way campaign. Cynthia Jones, assistant head and associate professor in the Department of Nursing, is vice chair.

There will be random weekly drawings for prizes throughout the Arkansas Tech United Way campaign. All individuals who have pledged to date will be eligible for that week’s drawing.

Arkansas Tech 2016 campaign advocates are available to give presentations about the mission and impact of United Way. During the presentations, the advocates also will answer questions about United Way and the ongoing campaign. Advocates can be invited to present at a faculty and/or staff meeting.

To schedule a presentation, call (479) 356-6206 or send e-mail to bwright@atu.edu.
