The Arkansas Tech debate and forensics team added another successful tournament to its record at the Weevil Wars tournament hosted by the University of Arkansas-Monticello.

Team members Lindsey Cady, Jesse Lobbs, Sarah Plummer, Matt Singleton and Cheyenne Walls all advanced to elimination rounds on the basis of strong preliminary records.

Cady led the team, earning honors as the first place novice speaker, a distinction awarded on the basis of style, diction and decorum.  She also finished as a semifinalist in the novice division.

Lobbs finished as a novice quarterfinalist in his first IPDA competition. Singleton was a novice octofinalist, while Walls was a double-octofinalist. In the varsity division, Plummer was an octofinalist.
