Arkansas Tech Collects Top-3 Math Contest Finishes

Four Arkansas Tech University students earned recognition for their performance in spring 2022 competitions hosted by the Oklahoma and Arkansas chapter of the Mathematical Association of America.

ATU’s Takumi Mori and Genya Ohama finished third in the math Jeopardy team competition. Mori is a senior computer science major, while Ohama is a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering. Both are from Japan.

In the integration bee, ATU senior mathematics and computer science major Scott Nevenhoven of Fort Smith claimed runner-up honors and ATU senior mathematics major Micah Vess of Dover earned third place.
