Area Professionals Recognized at Luncheon

Area professionals were honored for their service at the annual Administrative Professionals’ Day Seminar and Luncheon at the Lake Point Conference Seminar.

More than 60 professionals were treated to lunch and a day of learning as a way to honor their contribution to the workplace.

Several area merchants attended the event to pay tribute to the professionals, and Belk presented each participant with a bag of items as a way to recognize the professionals.

As part of the luncheon, Charlotte Strickland provided a keynote address about top notch customer service.  Strickland reminded those attending that customer service is both external and internal

Strickland has more than 25 years of higher education experience coordinating orientation, ethics and leadership courses.  In 2002, Strickland launched her own company, Strickly Speaking, and she now speaks to leaders on college campuses, churches, civic groups and corporations.

Lisa Cochran, director of continuing education, says the event has become a popular way to celebrate the efforts of office professionals.
