Approximately 50 Arkansas Tech University alumni and friends participated in 2011 Tech Alumni Day at the Little Rock Zoo on Saturday, May 21.
Those attending the event enjoyed a picnic lunch, visited the wide variety of exhibits on the zoo grounds and then witnessed a presentation by zoo staffers that featured birds, reptiles and mammals from around the world.
Tech Alumni Day at the Zoo was the first of several activities that the Arkansas Tech Alumni Office will host over the summer months.
Among the upcoming events are Arkansas Tech Night with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on June 16 in Springdale and Arkansas Tech Night with the Arkansas Travelers on June 24 in North Little Rock.
