Alewine Works with Axciom Over Summer

Arkansas Tech University student Jessica Alewine is spending her summer in Conway as part of an internship with Axciom.

Alewine is a junior information and technology major from Dover and says her love for this profession started when she was a young child.

“My dad broke his back in a work accident and that’s how we spent our time together,” said Alewine. “We built computers together and played games on them ever since I was little.”

During her time with Acxiom, she will be working as a data management specialist.

“I take client files and change the formatting and layout of them to the client’s request,” said Alewine.

She hopes to apply what she’s learned in the classroom at Arkansas Tech during the internship.

“College is a great start to beginning in a field, but nothing beats job experience and getting to actually do work relating to your field,” said Alewine. “The job uses several computer languages, so it will be a great way to practice and learn more.”
