Administrative Professionals Honored Today

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Continuing Education is hosting members of the campus and community for its annual Administrative Professionals’ Day Seminar and Luncheon today. This year’s theme is “Building Bridges.”

This marks the eighth year for the guest speaker and luncheon, which will take place at the Event Center at Lake Point Conference Center.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 2 p.m., and organizers say those attending will be treated to a gourmet lunch and the opportunity to win one of many door prizes.

Administrative professionals from across the River Valley have been invited to attend. Lisa Cochran, director of continuing education, says the event has become a popular way to celebrate the efforts of office professionals.

“We are excited to offer this again,” adds Cochran.  “This luncheon is truly a great way to honor office professionals, and we hope to once again provide an enjoyable day of good food, learning and fun.

Adam Robison, director of the Professional Development Institute at Arkansas Tech University will host a seminar for those in attendance about understanding behaviors and dispositions. He will explain how verbal and visual cues can lead to a better understanding of people with whom administrative professional interact daily.

Vendors will be on hand to share information about products and services and provide special treatment to administrative professionals in attendance.

Additionally, Tryston Hines will be available to take photos throughout the event.
