Arkansas Tech University’s Fatima Adams was named Great American Conference women’s basketball player of the week by the league office on Monday, Jan. 18.
It is the second GAC player of the week award this season and the fifth such honor for Adams during her two-year career with the Golden Suns.
A senior forward from Bryan, Texas, Adams averaged 19.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while helping Arkansas Tech defeat Ouachita Baptist University 69-48 and Southern Arkansas 91-73 last week.
The Golden Suns (10-2 overall, 8-0 GAC) will host Harding University for a 5:30 p.m. GAC game at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Monday, Jan 18.
