The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has adjusted the delivery method, but it will not stop the Arkansas Tech University Department of Music from offering its 19th annual Feast of Carols holiday concert.
Dr. Christopher Harris, assistant professor of music and director of choirs at Arkansas Tech, and his ATU students will present a virtual Feast of Carols for 2020. The concert will feature the ATU Choral Artists, the ATU University Men’s Chorus and the ATU University Women’s Chorus.
The approximately 40-minute presentation was recorded with appropriate COVID-19 protocols in place, including the wearing of face coverings by all singers and the conductor at all times, socially distanced placement of all singers, limited indoor singing and primarily outdoor singing.
A YouTube link will be posted at www.facebook.com/ArkansasTechChoir at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, and will go live at 8 p.m. The link will remain available until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24.
The presentation may also be accessed during that same 24-hour period at https://www.iLinkPro.me/FeastOfCarols2020.
There will be no charge to view the performance.
