Daniel Smith, vice chancellor for administration and finance at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus, has been selected to serve a two-year term on the University of Kentucky College Business Management Institute (CBMI) advisory committee.
Smith, who has served in the ATU-Ozark administration since January 2023, is a 2025 graduate of the University of Kentucky CBMI.
Offered through a collaboration between the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) and the University of Kentucky, CBMI provides professional development courses in business and financial management for administrators of colleges and universities.
“Colleges and universities face real financial and operational pressures, and programs like CBMI help prepare the people who manage them,” said Smith. “I’m proud to support that mission alongside SACUBO and the University of Kentucky.”
As an advisory committee member, Smith will participate in monthly virtual meetings and volunteer in support of the institute’s annual summer conferences during his term. The upcoming conferences are scheduled for July 25–30, 2027, and July 23–28, 2028.
