Cindi Ferguson will provide the spring 2026 Arkansas Tech University LeMoyne Smith School of Business Distinguished Lecture Series address.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, in Doc Bryan Student Services Center Lecture Hall, 1605 Coliseum Drive in Russellville. It will be free and open to the public.
Ferguson is an entrepreneur and investor who has served as owner and operator for multiple McDonald’s franchises in the Austin, Texas, area.
She and her husband, Jimmy Ferguson, are the namesakes for Ferguson Student Union at Arkansas Tech. The dedication and grand opening ceremony for Ferguson Student Union is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18.
“We’ve been greatly blessed,” said Mrs. Ferguson in 2024 when asked how the Ferguson Student Union project aligned with her family’s philanthropic goals. “We wanted to do something to show our grandchildren, great-grandchildren and everyone coming up a legacy of education. That’s what is important. Some people take for granted they can get an education. Education has always been very, very important to us. Jimmy was very instrumental in a lot of programs that Tech didn’t previously have, and I wanted the grandkids and great-grandkids to understand while we’re still here what we want. We want the grandchildren to be able to run our foundations after our kids, and to do that they need to see what we want. They need to understand what it means, and this is a very visible demonstration of that.”
