Arkansas Tech University will present the ATU Symphonic Band and the ATU Brass Choir for a concert entitled “From Past to Present” on Thursday, Oct. 2.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 West Q Street in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.
The ATU Symphonic Band will offer its renditions of “Fanfare Gratiam” by Ryan Nowlin, “As Summer Was Just Beginning” by Larry Daehn, “The Klaxon” by Henry Fillmore, “Chorale and Shaker Dance” by John D. Zdechlik and “Sonic Pathways” by Nathan Hervey.
The ATU Brass Choir will play “Requiem Paraphrases” by Peter Meechan and “Derivatives” by Jan Bach. Preston Keeter will be featured on euphonium during the Meechan piece.
The ATU Symphonic Band is conducted by Dr. Adam P. Miller. Dr. TJ Perry serves as conductor for the ATU Brass Choir.
