Arkansas-Based Artist Shares “The Temporal Container”

An exhibit entitled “The Temporal Container” by Nikkila Carroll will be on display at Arkansas Tech University’s Norman Hall Art Gallery from Monday, Sept. 29, through Friday, Oct. 17.

An opening reception is scheduled for 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, in the gallery.

Admission to the exhibit and the reception will be free and open to the public.

Norman Hall Art Gallery is located at 203 West Q Street on the ATU campus in Russellville and is open weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

According to the bio on her website, Carroll is an Arkansas-based mixed-media artist who “creates intricately detailed explorations of land and sea, inspired by the symbiotic relationships and interconnectedness found in the natural world.”

Creating under the moniker “babycreep,” Carroll utilizes fiber arts and found objects to create ceramic sculptures through a process she refers to as “sculptural collage.”

Carroll holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Memphis College of Art.
