Amy Pennington, Arkansas Tech University vice president for student affairs, has selected Hunter Bramlitt as the new associate dean for student wellness at Arkansas Tech and director of the ATU Health and Wellness Center.

Bramlitt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Williams Baptist University and a Master of Science degree in marriage and family therapy from John Brown University.

He holds the Licensed Professional Counselor credential from the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling.

Bramlitt first served as a counselor at Arkansas Tech from 2014-2018. After two years of providing counseling services in the private sector, he returned to the role of counselor at Arkansas Tech in 2020 and has been a member of the ATU Health and Wellness Center staff ever since.

“The role of student wellness is to support student success and retention by meeting students’ physical and mental health needs, as well as removing barriers that stand in the way of their academic and personal success,” said Bramlitt. “We have a team of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals who care deeply about serving our students and seeing them succeed.”

Bramlitt succeeds Kristy Davis in providing leadership for health services, educational programming, consultation and referral services that benefit ATU students and employees. Davis served at Arkansas Tech from 2012-25. She resigned in June to pursue a new professional opportunity.
