Hospitality Administration Students Attend Convention

Arkansas Tech students involved in the hospitality administration program attended the Arkansas Hospitality State Tradeshow Sept. 19-20 in Little Rock.

 

Arkansas Tech students involved in the hospitality administration program attended the Arkansas Hospitality State Tradeshow Sept. 19-20 in Little Rock.

The annual convention is an opportunity for not only vendors, but students as well to showcase their products and talents to those in the hospitality industry while meeting industry leaders.

Every year vendors from all over the country attend the convention to in order to find those students that may be interested in interning or working for their company.

The convention also aids students in receiving scholarships.

A few students from Tech were among the many students to receive scholarships from the co-branded scholarships.

Those receiving co-branded scholarships include:

  • Colton Lindsey- The Barnes/Woods Scholarship ($4,000)
  • Bobbie Hendron- The Mountain Harbor/Iron Mountain Resorts Award ($2,000)
  • Justin Mishler- The Michael Award ($2,000)

Other scholarship recipients include:

  • PJ Arrounothay- $1,000
  • Cassandra Coulter-$1,000
  • Robecris Ebron- $1,000
  • Kyndra Hicks -$500
  • Kaitlyn Hughes-$1,000
  • James Kerr-$1,000
  • De’Jeune Kinchen-$1,000

  • Ty Turner-$500
  • Jessica Velasquez-$1,000
  • Ora Wolfgram-$1,000

Next semester those students receiving scholarships will be honored at a dinner at the Governor’s Mansion.
