The scientific findings of 19 Arkansas Tech University students were on display during the Undergraduate Research Posters at the Arkansas State Capitol event in Little Rock during the spring 2019 semester.
The annual event brings undergraduate students from around Arkansas together to share their scientific findings with legislators, state officials and additional attendees.
This year, more than 100 undergraduate students representing 18 colleges and universities participated.

The students were aided in their research by ATU faculty advisors Dr. Rajib Choudhury, assistant professor of chemistry; Jamie Dalton, instructor of biology; Dr. Jacob Grosskopf, assistant professor of geology; Dr. Newton Hilliard, associate professor of chemistry; Dr. Mrigendra Rajput, assistant professor of biology; Dr. Ivan Still, professor of biology; Dr. Tsunemi Yamashita, professor of biology; and Dr. Jessica Young, assistant professor of physics.
