The Arkansas Tech University International and Multicultural Student Services Office (IMSSO) has announced that Light the Night 2015 has been rescheduled for Friday, April 10, from 6-9 p.m. at Hindsman Tower.
The event was originally scheduled for Feb. 25. Inclement weather forced it to be postponed until March 2, at which time winter weather intervened again and Light the Night was postponed for a second time.
History indicates that the third time is likely to be the charm.
Records dating back to 1819 only show three measurable snow events in Arkansas in April or later — one in April 1903, one in April 1910 and one in May 2013, when five inches of snow fell in Decatur.
Light the Night provides international students at Arkansas Tech with an opportunity to share elements of their cultures with their fellow students.
