The Arkansas Tech University Greenhouse is packed this morning as the annual poinsettia sale is underway.
The sale started this morning and will run until 5 p.m. today. The sale will continue from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. tomorrow.
In all, more than 1,000 poinsettias will be for sale in several varieties. Dr. Jim Collins, professor of horticulture, says in addition to red and pink poinsettias, painted and glitter plants will also be available for purchase.
The floriculture classes at Arkansas Tech are responsible for growing and tending to the poinsettias, and the students have been working since August to prepare the poinsettias for the sale.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase greenhouse plants and supplies.
