Hali Phillips of Ozark is the 2010 recipient of the Vanesa Briley Memorial Scholarship. She is seeking a degree in Practical Nursing.
Gary Briley of Ozark and his daughter, Emily Martin established the Vanesa Briley Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to an Arkansas Tech – Ozark student each fall.
Vanesa Briley, 52, who died on December 5, 2009 following a lengthy battle with cancer, was an Ozark native and served as vice president of the Bank of the Ozarks for 19 years. The memorial scholarship fund remains open at Bank of the Ozarks and anyone wishing to donate may do so at any Bank of the Ozarks branch.
