For the third consecutive year, Arkansas Tech University will host a Party at Plaza before each home game at Thone Stadium this year.
The pre-game tailgating event is designed to foster a fun, family-friendly environment for Arkansas Tech fans. Organizers say each Party at the Plaza will be a little different, but they’ll all be kid-friendly and fun for families.
Each Party at the Plaza begins two hours before the game with the exception of homecoming. The homecoming party will begin three hours before kickoff.
During each event, fans can enjoy a pre-game cookout. The meal costs $5 and features a buffet with hamburgers, hot dogs and other game favorites. Students at Arkansas Tech who have a meal card will be able to use their card to purchase the pre-game meal.
Another staple at each Party at the Plaza will be inflatable games. Organizers say there will be several inflatable games available at each party, and the games are available free of charge.
The first Party at the Plaza is Thursday when the Wonder Boys face Lambuth University. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m., and the first Party at the Plaza will start at 5 p.m. Be sure to log back on next week for more about the party.
