Ohanson Continues Pro Basketball Career

Ike Ohanson, a former All-Gulf South Conference West Division forward for the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys, will continue his professional basketball career in 2010 as a member of the Bellingham Slam.

The Slam, headquartered in Bellingham, Wash., compete in the International Basketball League.

This will be Ohanson’s fourth year in the IBL. He has previously played for Tacoma, Seattle and Snohomish County.

In 2009, Ohanson averaged 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while playing for Snohomish County.

A native of Ivory Coast, Ohanson earned two basketball letters at Arkansas Tech from 2004-06.

He was an All-Gulf South Conference West Division performer for Arkansas Tech as a senior during the 2005-06 season. Ohanson averaged 12.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game during his final year with the Wonder Boys.

Bellingham will begin its season on Friday, April 9, with a home game against the Tacoma Tide.
