Preston Named D-II Coordinator of the Year

Arkansas Tech assistant football coach Scott Preston has been selected as the 2009 NCAA Division II coordinator of the year by the Web site www.footballscoop.com.

Preston recently completed his third season as the offensive coordinator for the Arkansas Tech football program. He oversaw an offense that rewrote the Wonder Boys’ record book and helped Tech reach the NCAA Division II Playoffs during the 2009 season.

A 1994 graduate of Valdosta State University, Preston has previous coaching experience at Illinois State, Murray State, Ventura College and Georgia Military College. He is originally from Palo Alto, Calif., where he earned three letters as a quarterback at Palo Alto High School.
