Jenny Butler, coordinator of student activities and orientation, says SAB is excited to have 3OH!3 on the Tech campus this spring. She adds, “I think this is a group that students will enjoy, and I hope students will take advantage of the opportunity to see this group at no cost by getting a free student ticket.”
The group says their music is all about having fun. In 2009, 3OH!3 was nominated for “Best New Artist” alongside Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi, and Drake, at the 2009 Video Music Awards.
The group signed with Photo Finish Records after their first album in 2007 and immediately began working on a second album. Their album, Want, was released in 2009 and features songs like “Don’t Trust Me,” and “Starstrukk.”
For their second album, Streets of Gold, the group worked with a variety of industry leaders to produce hits such as “My First Kiss,” and “Hit it Again.”
The duo is currently working on their fourth album in their native state of Colorado.
