2023-24 ATU Symphonic Wind Ensemble Debuts Oct. 1

As Time Goes By

“As Time Goes By,” a concert performed by the Arkansas Tech University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 1.

The performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 West Q Street in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.

Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, ATU director of bands and professor of music, will conduct the ensemble on a program that includes “Intrada 1631” by Stephen Montague, “Is A Rose” by Caroline Shaw as transcribed by Cody Edgerton, “Colors” by Ben Appermont and “A Child’s Garden of Dreams” by David Maslanka.

The Maslanka piece will be accompanied by a consortium premiere of a video by Ion Media.

Amy R. Porter (soprano) and Brendan Frazier (trombone) will be featured soloists during the concert.
