James Kurt Schmitt of Mountain Home has been selected as one of 36 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2012 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Schmitt has served as president of the Poetry Slam Club, as an officer for Phi Lambda Chi and as a delegate to the Interfraternity Council during his time as a student at Arkansas Tech.
A member of the Dean’s List in multiple semesters, Schmitt has been active in intramural sports and the Order of Omega at Arkansas Tech. He also participated in residence hall government and was an orientation leader.
Schmitt’s parents are Lou Schmitt and Sue Schmitt of Mountain Home. Schmitt will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May with a degree in electrical engineering.
