Ellen Elizabeth Watts of Springdale has been selected as one of 36 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2012 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Watts has served as the southwest region collegiate representative to the National Association for Music Education, as president of the National Association for Music Education chapter at Arkansas Tech and as president of Caraway Hall. She has also been an officer for Sigma Alpha Iota and a member of Phi Mu.
A Dean’s List selection in multiple semesters, Watts has held membership in the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference. She has been active in the instrumental and choral music programs and the intramural sports program at Arkansas Tech.
Watts’ parents are Sharon and Darrell Watts of Springdale. She will graduate from Arkansas Tech with a degree in vocal music education and speech with the theatre option in May 2013.
