Jessica Lee James of Valley Springs has been selected as one of 29 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2011 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
James earned three letters and one All-Gulf South Conference West Division award as a member of the Arkansas Tech tennis team. She was also named to the GSC All-Academic team and the GSC Academic Honor Roll.
She worked for the Arka Tech student newspaper and the student television station. She also contributed to the Residence Hall Association.
James has held memberships in the Public Relations Student Society of America, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
A Dean’s List selection in multiple semesters, James has volunteered her time to teach the game of tennis to youths in the Arkansas River Valley.
Vickie and Joey James of Lead Hill are James’ parents. She is majoring in history education with a minor in journalism. James will graduate from Arkansas Tech in December 2011.
