Jared James Davis of Bentonville has been selected as one of 29 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2011 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Davis earned honorable mention in the Collegiate Performance Showcase instrumental music solo competition and was twice named to the Arkansas Intercollegiate Band during his time at Arkansas Tech.
He was involved in the Arkansas Tech instrumental music program throughout his time at the university, and he held leadership positions with the marching band and the basketball pep band. He also played in the Arkansas Tech Brass Choir.
Davis served as president of Kappa Kappa Psi and was a member of both the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference and the Wesley Foundation.
Son of Linda and Terry Davis of Bentonville, Davis will graduate with a music education degree in December 2011.
