Courtney Lea-Ann Mitchell of Paragould has been selected as one of 29 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2011 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Mitchell’s campus involvement at Arkansas Tech has included the Presidential Leadership Cabinet, the choral music program, the Arkansas Tech Cheerleaders, student radio station KXRJ 91.9 FM, Student Government Association, the American Choral Directors Association, the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference, Young Democrats, Up ‘til Dawn, Baptist Collegiate Ministry and the Tech Opera Workshop.
Mitchell was a two-time contestant in the Miss Arkansas Tech University Scholarship Pageant and a member of the Dean’s List in multiple semesters. Her parents are Marie and Tommy Mitchell of Paragould. Mitchell is majoring in vocal music education at Arkansas Tech. She will graduate in December 2011.
