Brandon Elliott Keener of Valley Springs has been selected as one of 29 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2011 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Keener served on the staff of the Arka Tech student newspaper and as a disc jockey at Arkansas Tech radio station KXRJ 91.9 FM.
He has held membership in the Public Relations Student Society of America and was twice a contestant in the Tech Idol singing competition.
Keener was named to the Dean’s List in multiple semesters and received several scholarships, including one from the Arkansas Rural Education Association.
Teresa and Brian Keener of Harrison are his parents. Keener is majoring in English and will graduate from Arkansas Tech in December 2011.
