Sherrell To Give Dissertation Defense Oct. 2

Marc Sherrell, candidate for the Doctor of Education degree in school leadership at Arkansas Tech University, will present his final dissertation defense on Monday, Oct. 2.

The presentation will take place in room 114 at the ATU Center for Leadership and Learning, 227 State Road 333 South in Russellville, at 11 a.m. All members of the university community are invited to attend.

Sherrell is student support services administrator and athletics director for the Lonoke School District. He is a member of the first cohort of Doctor of Education students in ATU history (photographed).

His dissertation topic is “An Investigation of the Relationship between High School Student Grit Levels and ACT Scores.”

The ATU Doctor of Education degree in school leadership is designed for K-12 education professionals who currently serve or wish to serve in school district leadership positions.
