Career Center Students Honored by SkillsUSA

Five students from the Arkansas Tech Career Center won awards at the SkillsUSA Arkansas competition at Hot Springs on April 12-13.

Dmitri McDaniel of Russellville won first place in electrical construction wiring, while William Holsombac of Pottsville took second place in that category.

Dakota Duvall of Pottsville (auto parts specialist), Courtney Hull of Dover (commercial baking) and Rachel Hooten of Dardanelle (cosmetology novice) captured third-place awards in their respective categories.

The Arkansas Tech Career Center is operated by Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus and is located on the Russellville High School campus. It serves approximately 600 students from 11 area high schools: Russellville, Dover, Pottsville, Hector, Atkins, Dardanelle, Danville, Two Rivers, Western Yell County, Lamar and Clarksville.
