Chartwells, food service provider at Arkansas Tech University, has partnered with farmers from the Pope County Farmers’ Market to bring locally-grown products to campus on Friday, Sept. 22.
The pop-up farmers’ market will be open from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot in front of Chambers Cafeteria. It is anticipated that additional local vendors will also participate.
Brooke Whatley, an ATU student who is helping organize the event, said it is intended to promote eating and shopping locally.
The parking lot in front of Chambers Cafeteria will be closed on Friday due to the pop-up farmers’ market.
