Greeks Contribute to Tech Community

Fraternity and sorority members at Arkansas Tech University achieved in the classroom and in the community during the 2016-17 academic year.

Students holding membership in ATU Greek organizations had a cumulative grade point average of 3.133 and donated more than 11,000 hours of volunteer community service in 2016-17.

“The academic success and volunteer efforts by our fraternity and sorority members in 2016-17 is evidence of their commitment to scholarship, leadership, service and unity, the defining principles of Greek life at ATU,” said Megan Edmonds, coordinator of Greek life at Arkansas Tech. “Each fraternity and sorority offers a distinct experience for its members, but all of our organizations share in common a dedication to building leaders, serving others, achieving excellence and building relationships.”

Fraternities and sororities have been a part of campus life at Arkansas Tech University for more than 40 years.
