Rose Named AP Division II All-America

Arkansas Tech University defensive back Cua’ Rose was named to the 2017 Associated Press NCAA Division II All-America team on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

A junior from McGehee, Rose was voted to the AP All-America second team. He is the 49th student-athlete in Arkansas Tech football history to earn All-America accolades.

Rose made 85 tackles and five interceptions during the 2017 season, bringing his career totals to 226 tackles and 12 interceptions with one season of eligibility remaining. He ranks third in ATU history in career interceptions.

The Wonder Boys were 8-4 overall and 8-3 in the Great American Conference this season under head coach Raymond Monica. Tech finished tied for second in the GAC standings and earned a bid to the Agent Barry Live United Bowl.

It was the third consecutive winning season for the Wonder Boys, their longest such streak since 2004-06.
