Arkansas Tech University outlasted a field of 19 women’s golf teams to win the Midwestern State University Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Monday and Tuesday.
The Golden Suns posted team scores of 311-313 for a 624 total, six strokes ahead of runner-up and tournament host Midwestern State.
Peerada Piddon (T-2nd, 74-79-153) was Tech’s top individual finisher. Pia Nunbhakdi (T-4th, 80-75-155), Avery Struck (13th, 79-78-157), Allie Weiner (T-17th, 78-81-159) and Hanna Haltom (T-85th, 93-86-179) also contributed to the Golden Suns’ team score.
Tech’s Holly Standing (T-27th, 82-79-161) and Makenzie Douglas (T-54th, 86-81-167) participated as individuals.
The Golden Suns will return to action March 26-27 at the Barry University Invitational in Miami, Fla.
