Arkansas Tech University’s R.J. Glasper was named Great American Conference men’s basketball player of the week on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
A redshirt freshman from Forrest City, Glasper averaged 24 points, four rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while leading the Wonder Boys (9-1) to victories over Northeastern State University and Missouri S&T.
For the season, Glasper ranks No. 2 among all NCAA Division II freshmen in scoring at 17.5 points per game.
Arkansas Tech will visit Oklahoma Baptist University for a GAC doubleheader in Shawnee, Okla., on Thursday, Jan. 4. Game times are set for 5:30 p.m. (women) and 7:30 p.m. (men).
