UAMS Rep to Speak on Cancer Research Thursday

Dr. Samantha Kendrick from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will provide a seminar to the Arkansas Tech University community at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in McEver Hall room 172.

The seminar, entitled “Mechanisms and Therapeutic Targeting of Cancer,” will be hosted by the ATU Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. Admission will be free and open to the ATU community.

According to information provided by the ATU College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), the seminar will “explore emerging discoveries in cancer biology and translational research, with a focus on how genetic mechanisms and molecular pathways can be exploited to advance cancer treatment.”
