Time Out for Tech, the annual visit day that provides high school seniors with a preview of learning and living at Arkansas Tech University, will take place Thursday, Feb. 22, on the ATU campus in Russellville.
All high school seniors graduating in May 2024 and their parents/guardians are invited to attend. Registration is open at www.atu.edu/toft.
Those who prefer to register on the day of the event may do so beginning at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Tucker Coliseum, 1604 Coliseum Drive on the ATU campus in Russellville.
“We encourage high school seniors to immerse themselves in our support-oriented and community-focused campus,” said Dr. Valerie Breashears, ATU director of admissions and enrollment communications. “Not only will Time Out for Tech attendees learn about life as an ATU student, they will also connect with future classmates and begin building the relationships that will help them achieve success at Arkansas Tech.”
Time Out for Tech attendees will learn about gaining admission to ATU, student housing, meal plans, scholarships, financial aid and campus life. There will be academic breakout sessions that will provide details about each student’s preferred field of study, campus and residence hall tours and photo opportunities with Jerry the Bulldog, ATU campus ambassador.
Much of the parking near Tucker Coliseum will be reserved for Time Out for Tech participants and their families from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on the day of the event.
ATU students, faculty and staff accustomed to parking in this area should make alternate plans for Thursday, Feb. 22, and all members of the ATU community should plan on increased traffic on campus during Time Out for Tech.
