Promised Consort, a band consisting of five Arkansas Tech University students, captured the Tech’s Got Talent 2025 title at Witherspoon Auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Adam Byler of Valley Springs, Blake Hudson of Omaha, Benjamin Langston and Scout Morrison of Farmington and George Sindland of Lead Hill are the members of Promised Consort, which formed approximately one year ago.
“The band is a blend of our individual music backgrounds,” said Byler. “Together, we create a psychedelic blues/rock sound. Winning TGT this year is huge for us. We performed (at Tech’s Got Talent) last year and unfortunately didn’t place. This year, we came together and pushed ourselves to perform our very best, which worked out pretty well.”
Promised Consort performed Pink Floyd’s “Time” with a small section of “Great Gig in the Sky” during Tech’s Got Talent 2025.
Second place in Tech’s Got Talent 2025 went to the duo of Hannah Melton of Clarksville and Allie Stoll of Benton. Essynce Norwood of Fort Smith earned third place.
Other Tech’s Got Talent 2025 finalists included Emily Cross of Clarksville, Wiley Harris of Gassville, Aubrey Pham of Van Buren, Hope Skinner of Sherwood and B.J. Walton of Clarksville.
Tech’s Got Talent is sponsored by ATU Student Activities Board.
