Technology Entrepreneur to Share Knowledge March 18

Members of the Arkansas Tech University community are invited to attend a virtual fireside chat featuring entrepreneur Marc Lore on Tuesday, March 18.

The online event will take place from 4:45-5:30 p.m. This opportunity is provided by the ATU College of Business and Economic Development.

Lore is the founder and chief executive officer of Wonder Group, a company that created a meal-time app, operates a collection of delivery-first restaurants in collaboration with some of the world’s leading chefs and pioneered a new category of “fast fine” dining.

Lore is also an NBA/WNBA owner having purchased the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx in spring 2021 with his friend and business partner, Alex Rodriguez.

Prior to this, Lore started and sold four companies including Jet.com, which was acquired by Walmart in 2016 for $3.3 billion. Until 2021, Lore served as the president and chief executive officer of Walmart U.S. eCommerce.

Lore was also the co-founder and CEO of Quidsi, the parent company of e-commerce websites Diapers.com, Soap.com, Wag.com and more. The company was sold to Amazon in 2011 for $550 million.
