Arkansas Tech University faculty members Dr. Jay Post and Cass Capen-Housley will be the featured speakers for the October 2026 edition of Pints and Professors at Point Remove at Central Fire Station in Russellville Downtown.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13. Pints and Professors is open to the public.
Post is associate professor of tourism at Arkansas Tech. His Pints and Professors presentation is entitled “Star Wars Literature: A Quick Comparison of the Legends and Canon Literary Continuums.”
Capen-Housley is instructor of management at Arkansas Tech. Her Pints and Professors presentation is entitled “From Zoom to Deutschland: Teaching, Learning and Being an Ambassador.”
Described in information provided by the ATU Graduate College as “where education meets conversation…over a pint,” Pints and Professors includes a 15-to-25 minute talk followed by open discussion with a goal of making ATU research and innovation accessible, conversational and community-focused.
