Arkansas Tech University faculty members Dr. Ashley Cooksey and Dr. David Pumphrey will be the speakers at the Tuesday, March 10, edition of Pints and Professors at Point Remove at Central Fire Station in Russellville Downtown.
The event, which is sponsored by the ATU Graduate College, will begin at 6 p.m. It is open to the public.
Described in information provided by the college as “where education meets conversation…over a pint,” Pints and Professors will include a 15-to-25 minute talk followed by open discussion with a goal of making ATU research and innovation accessible, conversational and community-focused.
Cooksey will offer a presentation entitled “Under Pressure: How Stress Impacts Your Body.” She is assistant professor of curriculum and instruction in the ATU College of Education and Health.
Pumphrey’s talk is entitled “Trusting the Agent: Do We Want AI to Decide For Us?” He is assistant professor of business data analytics in the ATU College of Business and Economic Development.
Pints and Professors is scheduled to continue the second Tuesday of each month through May.
