The Paris Adult Education Center, which is operated by Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus, has relocated to 1609 S. Elm St. in Paris.
The center is now located on the campus of Community Transformation Church.
“We are proud to be a partner with the Community Transformation Church in establishing the Paris Adult Education Center on their campus,” said Dr. Wayne Fawcett, ATU-Ozark director of adult education. “We look forward to serving the needs of the adult learners in Paris and the surrounding areas and hope to establish and grow the program to include many opportunities for adult learners.”
The center was previously housed at Paris Middle School.
“We are grateful to Paris School District for providing the space for our Logan County adult education site for a number of years,” said Dr. Sheila R. Jacobs, ATU-Ozark chancellor. “Their partnership has played an important role in helping adult learners in the Paris and surrounding communities access education, and we thank them for their ongoing support. Our new location will allow us to continue the mission of serving Logan County and expand opportunities for adult learners.”
The adult education program has been awarded more than $12,000 in grant funding from Arkansas Workforce Connections in the Arkansas Office of Adult Education to purchase new technology and support additional educational needs at the new site.
The Paris Adult Education Center offers GED classes and testing, WAGE I and II courses and more. These offerings are available at no charge.
